Simplex Effect is on a distinguished road
Need help on a few things about a 1999 328i.

So I am potentially buying a 1999 328i with 57,000 miles for $12,900. But first I would like to know a couple more things about the car before I make up my mind.

Does it have a LSD? My friend just recently bought a 1999 328i and weve been toying around with it and it seems like it would have an LSD but just a really crappy one.

Are there any tranny problems for the 5 speed manual? Did BMW do their research right and build a good tranny.

Last, are there any other problems with the Build of the 99 328i?

Thanks in advance.

vwk is an unknown quantity at this point
Afaik LSD is an option through the sports package, which would make it a 328is.

I've installed my LSD yesterday on my E36 328i, believe me, you'll know it when you have one. It doesn't stays with "seems like it".

If you have an LSD that is f*cked after that mileage the car hasn't been treaded nicely, or bad oil is used in differential (Castrol SAV XJ for sper differentials). Trannys are afaik unchanged from E36, they last forever lol.
