Need Help With Climate Control Upgrade! - BMW Forum

Hi guys,

i am a noob needing some desperate help

I was wondering if anyone can help me.

I have a 2003 316TI ES (E46 Compact) and i want to upgrade the knobs to digital climate control. I already have the part and have fitted it, but it doesnt seem to work correctly.

All the features work fine apart from the vents do not change position.

Any ideas?

Hmmm. Check your plugs and connectors just to be sure that each pin is actually making a connection. What I mean by this is that you may have connectors that happen to fit -- they snap togetehr -- but that do not actually have the same number of wires coming to/from them.

Did you get the unit off another E46 compact, or just an E46. I hope this upgrade can actually work for you. I have no experience with it.

What do you mean by "the vents do not change position?"
