To Nav or not to Nav?

Hi there.
I'm looking to purchase my first BMW (yea!) and I think I have narrowed it down to one remaining question about the options I want. I really think I want the navigation but it doesn't seem like something that buyers typically add at purchase time, perhaps for a reason? I was hoping those of you that have it can tell me what you like and what your not so much a fan of.

Oh yeah I am looking at an 06' 325xi or maybe a 330xi

I'm not sure why more people don't put the nav units in the cars. I suspect that price plays an issue, but I believe that BMW's navigation systems are great and are well worth it. I would recommend the 330xi as I test drove one when they hit the lots here and I was very impressed. I'm not a big fan of the iDrive, but people either love it or hate it....keep us posted!

I was having the same debate when I ordered my 325xi. I decided to order it without it. I read a lot of reviews and the majority of people can't stand the iDrive. If you really need a GPS system you can get a real good one for less than $2K.
