Ok, I'm trying to bring my BMW back from the land of the dead. I just had my lower control arms and bushings replaced. As I was picking up the car, the mechanic pointed out to me that he thinks that there my be something wrong with my back wheel or wheels. While driving, the car makes a LOUD sound and the whole back end of the car vibrates like crazy. Almost sounds like a monster truck on the road. So in my 'uneducated guess', I'm thinking maybe one of the back wheels are warped. Because he said when he put the car on the rack and gave it some gas, it doesn't make the sound. Also, he pointed out that my back tires have unusual wear on them. They were brand new tires... less than 2 months of use. And the tread now looks like... tread... serious wear...tread... serious wear. I taped the sound last night while I was driving. Here's how it sounds:
