I JUST GOT A 1999 323i WITH ONLY 33K MILES. IT LOOKS, RUNS, AND FEELS LIKE A NEW CAR. THE ONLY THING I DONT GET IS HOW THE A/C COMES ON EVERTIME I START THE CAR, EVEN IF I TURN THE A/C OFF BEFORE I TURN OFF THE THE CAR IT STILL COMES ON WHEN I START THE CAR. ITS DRIVING ME NUTS!. I EVEN WENT TO THE BMW DEALER AND THEY TOLD ME THAT ITS LIKE THAT. I MEAN YOU GOTTA BE SHITTING ME THE AIR ALWAYS COMES ON. ANYONE OUT THERE GOT A 99 323i THAT DOES THE SAME THING? PLEASE LAY SOME KNOWLEDGE ON ME.
It's True. No matter what you do, it will turn back on when the car starts. You should have a button that says auto. This means that your car will automatically reach the temp that you set it for whether it's colder or hotter and automatically adjust the fan levels.
if you manually turn the a/c off when you leave the car.......next time you start it up,, it will be on the minimal fan speed....but there is nothing you can do to stop it
