AFTER ABSOULTLY NO HELP FROM THIS FORUM I HAVE MANAGED TO TRACK DOWN A COMPANY WHO DEALS IN CONNECTION THROUGH THE CHANGER CONNECTION OF A PHONO PLUG SO YOU CAN CONNECT AN MP3 PLAYER OR SUCH LIKE

THE COST SEEMS HIGH FOR THE PARTS AT 56.75 INCLUDING VAT IN THE UK

I HAVE SAT NAV AND THE CABLE SHOULD BE IN NEXT WEEK.

IF ANYONE WANTS THE INFO ON WHERE I AM GETTING THIS FROM OR IF IT WORKS THEN POST HERE AND I WILL LET YOU KNOW.

P.S. MY CAR HAS THE COLOUR SAT NAV OPTION AND IS A 2004 UK MODEL.

Although in the US, I am VERY interested. Does it also allow for the control of the MP3 player from the wheel?

Im suprised no one on the board offered any help but a simple 2 second search on ebay will yield several results for mp3 i-bus interfaces. Blitzsafe makes them and so does soundgate, also icelink for i pod interfaces. Heres some links...

soundgate

Icelink

Blitzsafe

Heh, I've been diggin around everywhere and I can't find anything so far so I will wait on you with baited breath....

Do you have the SATNav with the CD or the Tape behind?

Are you fitting this yourself?

My last car, a Honda Accord Type R I fitted many things myself (CD Changer/MP3 Player, DVD player [for the wife],240V adapter, etc) which I would like in my 320 but I'm a little scared to poke around...

Laters...
Trigati.

Do you still have the OEM head unit? I would replace that which would solve this problem.

Ok - back from my hols today and the part was in - tool 15 mins to fit including lifting the centre arm rest etc to hide the wires - cost was 60.00 including a long cable to go from the cd changer cable to the front of the car.

The part was made by soundlinx and I bought it from Car Radio Servises in Perth (9 Crieff Road) - I don't have their number but I am sure you can get it from YELL!!

If you need any further info let me know
