Mileage

Hi Members,

I bought BMW 2001/325I series about 2 months ago from a private dealer.What i was seeing strange for a while is about the gas Mileage.I'm using the 93 Grade gas and it gives about 14-15Miles/Gallon on an average(highway and local routes in California). ghead

Is something that is wrong or i need to do like servicing or Oil-change(it still shows 3500 miles for oil change and keeps droping down as i drive).Everything else is fine.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!!

im always acceleration fast and i still get 17 - 18 mpg. and thats rural driving. i've taken my car on the highway maybe 5 times since i've been driving it. (about 8 months)

i'd have that checked out, the money you spend fixing the problem could probably be made up with time by getting the extra 30 - 50 miles out of each tank.

yea thats not right..

my 5-speed 01 325i using 91 octane gets about 24.7 avg mpg in half city/hwy driving conservatively ...range on a full tank nets anywhere from 391 to 415 mi...better get it looked at.

Has there been any modding done that you know of? Some off brand software (chip) could have side effects like that... =/
