hey evryone, dunno how many of you go into the e36 forum, but im in the process on selling my e36 to get an e46, 2000 or 2001 is about wut i can afford, a 323 or 325....anything i should know about them? im lookng for one with about 40 to 60k miles...anythign thats known to go, or should expect...thanks!

Good choice!!! I was never a big fan when the 3-series switched to the Nike Swoosh headlights. Search for posts by me or my previous pseudonym, Hootie361, for info on the 2000 328i.

i would make sure that if you are buying with around 60k miles, that the owner has done the 60k mile maintenance, if you get one with less you're going to have to spend a couple hundred to get it done when the odometer hits 60k.

when i bought my 2000 323i, the srs (airbag) light was on... before i agreed to buy i checked this forum for what it could be and found out that it was probably (9 out of 10 times) a loose sensor under the passenger seat. it was a great way to talk the price down and was an easy fix. just a random piece of info for the hell of it.... lol

Yep... that car needs to have had service 2, or else you'd end up spending around 1,200

i had no idea it cost that much to have it done. i'm glad the last owner of mine did it. i got mine at 65,000.
