Metalling noise from engine or from the car front - BMW Forum

I have bmw 320 diesel touring, manufactured 9 2002, 70.000km since then

From quite a long time I hear a metallic sound from my engine or somewhere near engine (all I am sure is that its from the front of my car), the noise shows up ONLY when the rev meter is around 2700-3000, after 3000 it suddenly dissapears. (on every shift) I have been numerous times to my dealer and they are unable to fix this!! ALL I Hear is that this is a thermal shield virbating or something, and they are unable to reproduce the noise when the car is on the lifter. Maybe someone had the same issue or soemthing, I even started to think that this might be engine issue or something, my supercharger was already swapped because I broke the old one

I noticed that the sound is showing up only when engine is warm
