Hello,

I am looking for some information on lowering a 330xi - does anyone here have first hand experience with this? I am wondering if there is anything about this model that would make lowering it problematic? The 330xi does ride about 0.75" higher than the 330i. Has anyone installed new springs in a 330xi? What brand was used, how much was it lowered, and how was the ride affected?

Thank you for any advice you can offer,
Prolix

trade you car in for a 330i and use the difference in money for the coilover setup.
i all xi's are setup to be driven at that height. it be easier lowering a 330i and get better handling from an aftermarket setup than lowering a xi.....

hehe check out my sig..

330Xi was the best choice for the weather around here for me. I had the same question as Prolix....it's too bad if they can't be lowered, i'd like a more aggressive look.

My understanding is that the XI's do not come with a modified suspension. You get the sport seats, run flats, "aerodynamic package", and duoble spoke 98 wheels(for the 330xi anyway). The tire size stays the same as the regular sedans and the suspension is untouched as well.
