Looking for some answers from previous owners...

Okay, so I have not yet bought my BMW 325Ci yet, but I intend to do so. I figured I would goto a forum, that has multiple users experienced ownership with these.


I plan on buy a 2002 325Ci. The one I am looking at is about 16,000 with 55,000miles on it. Not to bad? I have some questions though about this, before I make my final decision.


1. Obviously, is it gonna be worth the money I pay for it?

2. How hard is it to wire in your own Audio system into it? (This includes some subs and a DVD player, with my visors having flip down monitors in them or possibly just having a deck screen.)

3. How often do you guys have problems with your cars? People constantly tell me these are high maintenance. I figure though, it's better to spend more money on a higher quality car, then have something like an Eclipse that will constantly have problems.

4. Would you recommend any engine work done to it? Put any air intakes, turbos ect...

1. It sounds like you are paying a bit much, but if maintenance records are good, go for it.

2. Not terribly hard, as long as you hook up with a good shop and talk to members here about audio/video options.

3. The six cylinder is a very reliable engine. On the other hand, cooling issues, including radiator, thermostat, water pump, and cooling expansion tank may be things you should be worried about.

4. See what necessary maintenance is first. After that, there are a lot of options available.
