Location of the CD Changer connector in trunk of 2001 330ci

Anyone know where this is? I've read a lot of threads and it seems to be all over the place, so it wasn't clear to me.

if equiped, if your standing behind your car, looking into the trunk, its on the left side. there's a good sized knob you turn and pull down the flap. if you dont see a panel there...you aint got one.

I have a 2002 330CI, that did not have a factory CD changer. My service manual indicated that the connector would be on the left side of the trunk. I pulled the spare tire carrier out and then pulled the plastic pins that hold the plastic parts tray on the left side. Underneath I found the CD changer cable wrapped in foam. Works great for my IPOD.
