Just bought my 2001 330i with Premium and Sports package!! I am reading the manuals but could not understand issues regarding the headlights. Can someone tell me how can the DRL's be activated and/or be used for night driving. Is there anyway that I can use both - the Xenons and DRLs? I also have fog lamps.

The DRLs can only be activated with a MODIC. The dealer can do this for you along with customizing several other features. The DRLs will run with the headlight switch in the first position. So you will have parking lights and the DRLs. They are not designed for night time running but I guess you could do it. Once you put the headlight in the second position the xenons come on and DRLs go off. Fog lamps work with the switch in either first or second position.
