Hey - my car is new, 3k miles, just drove it for the first time in heavy rain. Noticed that the convertible top leaks up toward the front, about where the soft top meets and seals with the body, about 2 inches back along the door edge. There is a seam there along the seal. It doesn't leak continually, but every 5 minutes or so there would come a steady gush that would last a few seconds.
Is some amount of leaking normal and to be expected, even with new convertibles? If not, do you have any ideas on cause or cure?
Thanks.
Leaking is not acceptable in rain, under high pressure spray it may leak a little. Since it is new take it back to the dealer and make them fix it. I imagine that the seal is faulty or that the window needs some minor adjustment.
Ben

that's what happens when your assembly line has too much wienersnitzel and lager for lunch.
Sounds like you should take it in for a seal adjustment or replacement. It happens from time to time. Don't fret.
