K & N Air Filter

Does anyone know if a K & N High Flow air filter will void the warranty on my 05 330i? I don't see how it could, but I don't want to take a chance on voiding my 4 year warranty.

I'm not certain if it voids the warranty, but when I brought my car in for 60,000 service my service advisor saw the sticker and asked if I had a k+n filter, I said yes and he said "That's a good one". No mention that it was a no-no.

I just spoke with my dealer about it. He said the filter is good and will not void the warranty as long as you don't over oil it. He said to forget about cleaning it and re-oiling it because if you put too much oil on it, the air flow meter could be damaged, and that would not be covered under warranty. He said to use it for 40k miles and then toss it. He also suggested turning it 1/4 turn every so often.
