Just got a 325i

[02 325i]

I just bought a 2002 325i and i am looking to do a few performance mods. I am new to the BMW world and i am not sure where to start. I am not looking to make the car really fast, just give it a little more power and make it sound good. I was looking to buy an exhaust, chip, and intake. I have about 3000 to spend on all of this i was wondering what other peopel with 325's run and what my best options are. Also if any one happens to have any sound clips of their car i would really appreciate it. Thanks a lot.

Congrats on the new car.

With 3k, I would imagine most people are going to reccommend three mods. 1) Remus Exhaust 2) Conforti Shark Injector (chip) 3) Gruppe M intake.

Those are pretty well known mods in the BMW community, and seem to be the most popular.

A ncie air filter would go down a treat. We put these on our customers cars for free and the ectra little grunt is well worth it. Single or double pipe exhaust custom made is always a treat aswell.

$3,000 eh? Okay...

Software upgrade - $350
CAI - $350
Borla Cat-back exhaust - $900
Underdrive Power Pulley kit - $250

Total cost with DIY installations ~ $1900

With $1,100 left over, you could look into something like performance camshafts or (depending on your mileage) replace a few other key parts while you have the pulleys off, like the water pump and alternator.

Have fun. Sure wish I had $3,000 to spend on my Otis.

I have a 325i 01-sport pack I bought it while I was in Germany anyway the only thing that I did to the car; I replace all the spring for H & R. Now I’m trying to do a little upgrade under the hood...I’m open to any suggestion...
