btw im new and im from the uk! go easy!

Just a few questions, we just brought a silver grey coupe sport brand new, its a great car! just got it home today, ill put pics up tomorrow!

the car came with a cassette player, and as it was already to our spec in a showroom but without a cd player we had no choice as they wanted 550 GBP to retro-fit a cd player (around 900 dollars)...

so what my questions are!

1) Does anyone ever sell the standard bmw cd players on here, if not wheres the best place to look?

2) is it a straight swap, i.e easy?

3) theres no cup holder!!!!!!!! where do i put my drinks!

thanks!

u.s. crutchfield website (mailorder outfit). alpine 6-cd changer is the exact model bmw sells thru dealers. see their fit guide, it should be about $300. fits in the trunk, car comes prewired for it, and i think you can control it thru the unit you have in the dash.

the in-dash thing would be a heinous to replace due to cost. not many new wrecked autos either to get a swap, i think forget it (someone here may know better though).

i always wondered why they do this in e.u. with the cassette as standard, last time i even used a cassette was two decades ago......

p.s. &*(% the cup holder. 2" class="inlineimg" />
