Jacking Points

2000 328i

Please tell me there are more than just those 4 jacking points under the doors. My wife's Mazda 6s can be jacked from the center front or rear frames, making brake and wheel changes a breeze. This constant crap of jacking one side while bracing with a stand, repeating on the other side, is a load of horse manure.

That's how we do it...most of the underside of a BMW is aluminum, the front center has what looks like a jack pad, but it typically just breaks under pressure.

You could always get a car lift. Quite the handy tool, but a bit pricy for just a standard brake job.
