There isnt a BMW solution for the 2001, but there are a few companies that have developed something for BMW owners. Dension sells the ICE-LINK that is pretty simple to utlize. http://www.densionusa.com/x/index.php?opti...d=375&Itemid=79

Regarding the 2001 325i ipod. Does anyone know if you were to replace the 2001 Head Unit with a 2002 + could you be able to plug in the ipod into it. used

If you are going to replace the head unit, check this out... Seems much better than the BMW iPod interface...
