Is invoice price reasonable now?

Decided to join this happy club! Will shop in the coming weeks for a 325i manual transmission. Did a price research and found there is $1,200 incentive up there
for dealer. Wondering if i offer the invoice price would be reasonable? There are
two problems i can think of, in my little town, only one bmw dealer. Second my
local dealer does not carry a manual transmission 325i. Are these two will affect
my final cost?

thinking of buying from Texas, 7 hours drive distance from my town. That will save
me about $2,000 on tax. Anybody done that before? Is this feasible?

anyway, from now on, I will hand out with your great guys here at this wonderful
online bimmer commuty. love it

looks like my local dealer does not want to participate the online
selling thing.

ciskokid, you don't think buying from TX is a plan? what might be
the problem? (I got a good live in Dallas up there, so pick up should
not be a problem for me)
