Im New Here I Just Got A 2001 330ci

well i just got my car tonight it is a black 330ci and i love it. i have one question how do i set my clock? i dont have a manual for the car so i dont have any way to look up all the options also what is the button on steering wheel with the little face on it. thanks for any help.

The clock - It is a little counter intuitive, you set the clock by turning one of the buttons on the dashboard left or right. I think its the one nearest the speedo (on my euro spec car)...... I sat there trying to press it/ hold it etc for ages and nothing gives....lol

Regarding the button on the steering wheel. I think you are referring to the cruise control button. (The set of buttons on the RHS of the steering wheel)

Press it to turn CC on (but not active) then use the up arrow to set your speed (makes CC active). Up and down then changes your speed by 1/2 KM per hour.

If you touch acc/brake/clutch etc, then CC goes into the on but not active state. To get back into the active state either press the up button again to re- set at current speed or press the button above the one you mentioned to go back to the speed of the previous setting.

nice car choice by the way - I've had my 2000 X plate 330Ci in Titanium Silver for 9 months now and it still gives me that feeling every time I see it

erg i dunno if its the same for ur car but probably since mine is also 2001 but a 325ci
the headlights if that's what ur talking about, you have to turn them off manually but the headlights don't go on unless your key is in the on position if u jus turn them on without being in the on position it jus turns the side turn signals on, as for interior lights for mine if u keep the door open with the light on for a long time like around 5-7 minutes it turns the lights off but if u press the little button it turns on again.

Dunno if you figured the clock thing out, but it had me slightly puzzled even w/the manual. Very clear that manual.

In order to set the clock, you can turn the dial to the right of the speedo. The problem was that the display below the speedo has to be showing the time, and mine wasn't--it was the temp. To get it to display the time, there is a slide button on the end of the lever on the left side of the steering column. Push it and it cycles the display from temp->distance->avg Mph->avg mpg->clock or something like that.

i got it finally thanks guys. i hope to have some good pictures of the car soon. i got my wife a new sony cybershot and i have a friend that is a graphic design major i hope he will take some pictures for me. but thanks for all the help so far. one last question does any one know what the button on the right side of the steering wheel is with the face on it?
