I like the hood. It's less muscular but it looks a bit longer. The headlights a la 1-Series style, look nice. It's different but it's still nice.
The rear, as seen on Internet pictures, is ugly, but somehow it's not VERY ugly. It's OK ugly.
The luggage room is a flop. Even though the reserve tire, thanks to new tire technology, is no longer there, the space seems to be smaller. There are many small containers, boxes, covers, etc., so it's still be impossible to push in two big Samsonites.
The dashboard is another disaster. The model I was sitting in had no navigator screen, so the board on the right side was sooooo flat, I mean literally flat and boring. Reminded me of old East European cars... No sexy curves inside, sorry guys.
The radio/info display is nicer, contains more pixels and offers higher resolution. Good news: The Business CD player can finally play mp3s!! God, we're in 2005!
The rear seats seem to have more leg space, as well as their own reading lights at the top. The front right seat now has the ISOFIX baby-seat connection option, but I still believe front seat is a no-no for the little ones.
The front armrest design is now completely different, it's now the cover of fixed box. The phone cradle is in that weird box. Bummer, you gotta raise the armrest everytime you wish to pick your phone from there. Something I don't have to do in my lovely E46.
The car in the showroom had no heads-up display, another new option, which I was curious to see. And no, I had no chance to do a test-drive, but they said that it can be arranged next week.
All in all, I am glad that I own a 2005 E46 and not a 2006 E90, but again it's just me. B)
