How to work Automatic Rain Sensor

I am a new BMW owner and I don't know how to work the Automatic Rain Sensor on my 2001 330 CI. I don't even know if I have that option or not. (Although I don't have intermitted and I do have the Premium and Sport packages, so I believe I do). Also, how to I get the time to display? Thanks

big black plastic oblong stuff on the windshield under the mirror = rain sensor.

turn the wipers stalk up one notch. adjust sensitivity with a twirly knob on the stock.

i think time is on the radio cluster as a clock button, but i forget.

Thanks a lot! For some reason I do not have a small clock emblem on the - sign next to the little music note picture on the radio. Does this mean I DO NOT have a clock anywhere on my display? Thanks
