1) Pull up the rear head rests.
2) Pull down the top part of the rear seats, you just pull them.
3) Remove the rivets that hold the rear deck to the top part of the rear seats (they are plastic black rivets).
4) Remove the side panels and reading lights. The reading lights come out by wedging a screw driver in the side and twisting carefully. You can then just pry the side panels out.
You should now be able to pull the rear deck towards the front of the car.
You will need to pull up the headrests to remove the rear deck but the vertical part is held in by two huge clips. Just pull on the top of the backing of the seats and they will pop right out
BMWERKEN, you've piqued my intrest. I get terrible radio reception, especially AM. I've seen some posts in the past that say it could be a bad antenna amplifier and the writer mentions it being located in the rear pillar, I believe driver side. Could this be accessed by removing the side panel?
