How bad is replica wheels compared to OEM ones in terms of performace and durability? Are they reliable?
I saw some replicas on e-bay (they were advertised as replicas) and the price was pretty good.
BTW, johnshee92, are you in bay area and bought those wheels from the listings in craigslist.org?
I reside in the Bay Area and I did buy them from craigslist... I am pretty happy with them , however I just want to make sure they are legit OEM wheels
that guy adverstised two tires are new and other two are in good condition.
So many scumbags out there.
I was cheated too by the other seller but could get refund.
Anyway, I really like that style.
I am going to ask that motherf**ker for a full immediate refund. 2 tires are bald as f**k and one of the "good' ones has a huge bubble in the inner sidewall...
Overall, I'll still be happy with the purchase if they are in fact OEM..
However they are not and he wont give me a refund... then Im not sure what to do..
if he said they were OEM then you have enough reason to claim refund.
But if "taken off from 330ci" was all he said and you still paid upon confirming the condition of the tires, hmm...
I have paid to my scumbag with personal check on sat so refund was easy.
If you have paid in cash, it may be a big fight.
They look as the OEM wheels. I almost bought them from the dealership, but i got different one. Go to the dealer and check, they have wheels like those. They are putting them on some 330 models
Style 71...they do match!
I personally never saw them on a bmw but according to link they are infact BMW style 71 rims.
I don't see anyway for you to get your money back unless they are damaged.
Good luck.
A. I don't think that BMW made a style 71 in an 18 inch size.
B. Most of the BMW 18 inch wheels that come with either ZHP/Msport package or M3s are usually staggered (18x8 fr 19x9 rear) so these probably weren't OEM wheels.
