how do you check the check engine light codes? sorry guys im used to hondas where you can stick a lil safely pin and find out what code. lol How would you do so in a BMW?
since you asked about a stalling problem of your 330ci in another thread it's probably an obd2 car (all '96 and newer cars are obd2). in the driver side footwell towards the left side (where the hood release latch is) there's a little latched door. pop that open and there's an obd2 port there (D-shaped plug/connector). you need to plug in an obd2 code reader. the code will help diagnose the problem. your local autozone should scan it for free.
BMW's as late as '99 some still have the 20 pin under the hood and it can be difficult to get the codes from em...don't know if it's the same for autozone but it plays games with us at the dealer lol
thanks guys... but i live in Hawaii... i used to live in washington state where autozone was all over the place but here... we only have a napa. And those napas dont do free dignos. Kinds strange. But i went to a shop and the codes that i am throwing are a
Cam sensor. Anyway to fit it besides going to a shop? anyone can guild me?
