HID Error Canceller?

I'm looking into buying and HID headlight and fog light kit for my 2001 325ci. the car came originally with the halogen bulbs. (yes i have a projector setup) From what im seeing on the net, its hit or miss with getting error lights on the dash display from this install. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Do i need to buy an error canceller or will i be ok with my specific year? Thanks guys

To be honest, it's a case of suck it and see mate !
They will work perfectly well, but the LCM might or, might not, throw some errors...
