| hey my traction and parking brake light stay on
Hey i have a 2001 325ci convertible. ive been changing the brakes myself for bout 7 years. back in 2003 i was changing my front brakes and the sensor end that plugs into near the wheel was damaged. i understood that so i never plugged it in just hid the wire and because of that sensor not being plugged in the brake light stays on the odomoter. I was ok with this because i would check my brakes myself and i knew if my pads needed to be replaced. however recently one day, my parking brake and traction light came on and has stayed on since and they are both yellow. I took a look in the back and noticed the brake sensor wire not abs wheel sensor wire hanging on the ground it was torn apart. my question is by not having the back brake pad sensor plugged in do you think this is enough to cause the traction and parking brake light to come. I never had the front brake pad sensor plugged in but this did nothing but cause the 1 brake light to come. Could not having the back brake sensor plugged in cause the traction and abs to come on since the plug is in the rear and the rear controls parking brakes? |
