Hey guys! I want another BMW. Help me out and let me know if this looks good.
Hey dudes. My mustang is crapping out on me and I miss German engineering like you wouldnt believe. Saw this 2004 BMW 325ci for $10,900 and was curious why this would be so cheap. 77,000 miles. Is this a bad point in miles for the 325? What are these cars like at that high of milage and is it worth it?
Should i expect trouble when trying to finance?
Thanks for the help guys. I knew i could come here for advice!
These cars have started getting pretty cheap. It still seems a bit too low, so I'd recommend that you ensure you get a CARFAX and have the dealership or a BMW mechanic you trust do a pre-purchase preinspection (will cost you ~$100). The dealership should also be able to run the VIN history showing any maintenance done by any BMW dealership while under warrantyand since. Also ask teh seller for maintenance records.
Otherwise, ether is nothing in particular about that year that you should be running away from. 2004 was the fifth year of the E46 coupe, and the fourth year for the 325Ci, so the kinks had been ironed out by then. Also, you get the facelifted front, which is much better looking than the early coupes in my opinion.
Good luck!

Only thing I can think of is the cooling system. If it has not been replaced yet, then itll need it by that mileage.
Otherwise the window regulators and random door jingles(from the regulators being installed incorrectly) are the only major issues you might have to deal with.
also I think the GM transmission was replaced by this point in production. The torque convertors would go out. (thats why I get rid of my 330) Can someone back that statement?
