Help: Vehicle vibration from 20-27 mph - BMW Forum

I have an '04 325i Sedan with 140k miles. For about 10 days the entire vehicle shakes/vibrates when accelerating in the range of 20mph to 27mph then stops. No vibrations before 20mph or after 27mph. Seems pretty violent, change in the center console makes noise.

Replaced the tires yesterday, took the vehicle for an alignment today, due to poor front bushings they couldn't do the alignment, but I will have those this weekend and take it back. Although they did say the vibration is not related to alignment.

So, the question is, what's the #1, #2, etc cause that I should try?

Replace the suspension bushes... Best to do them all in one go !!

Hi there,

I'd also bet that you have to go for new control arm bushings... recommend to install Meyle HD!

Are there any guides that outline the process? I recently found out the control arm bushings are bad too, so those are getting replaced.

But, can't seem to find a DIY on replacing the suspension bushings

Replaced Center bearing (metal bearing surrounded by rubber). The rubber had worn out of it. But, unfortunately the vibration is already back after two days, guibo is fine. Any other recommendations?

I've reviewed that listing, but since I'm unsure what on the vehicle causes vibrations, it does not do me alot of good.

I'm hoping someone has had similar experiences and can tell me what worked for them?

Could be rotors or shaft balancing then (If you've covered the other bases)...
