Help needed! Dead battery, dead key, can't get into trunk nor the hood... - BMW Forum

Hey guys! I'm new to this forum and I have a big problem with my car! My e46 2002 330i sedan has a complete dead battery and also key. I cannot access the trunk nor the hood (I think the cable snapped) to jump the car

Any suggestions on how I can charge the battery? Thanks!

You can still open the trunk by inserting the key into the slot and turning it one way or the other.

I did this just the other day, I unhooked the battery (because I was removing the alternator) and closed the trunk lid. They key itself can still open the trunk with dead batteries.

Hi thanks for the reply! Tried this the other day but still no luck

I turned the key both ways but still won't open. Maybe my trunk is also jammed

I'm thinking I might have to tow this car and bring it to the shop to do it... gunna put a big hole in my pocket sigh...
