Two days ago some SUV a$$hole (no offense to those who drive SUV's) hit my new Bimmer on a parking lot. Could you please let me know how much it'll cost me to fix the dent? Thanks God, the paint wasn't scratched, so hopefully no painting is needed. I live in Chicago, so any references to good cheap body shops in the area are highly appreciated. Thanks a lot.

thanks for the reply. is it possible at all to fix it without repainting the whole hood? i don't need it to be perfect.. just as long as it's not noticeable.
i agree with rogue i think that dent is too deep to repair. but maybe its the angle of the photo.
however if you take it to a good dent pulling place they might be able to pull it.
it will probably cost you like 75 bucks to get it pulled if its possible.
Everytime I go to BMW for service they always look over the car and give me an estimate to fix every little ding. Typical door dings are ~ $100. I'd say yours will be a little more. Bumpers (no matter what the damage) are around $300. I picked up the "ding king" at pepboys for $20. I am trying to take out a door ding some a$$hole gave me at costco. Smaller dings are difficult with this tool and I think it would work well for your problem l... considering no paint damage and it is a big dent with no sharp edges. It's worth a try considering it is only $20.
The Ding king is a waste of money Here is a link to a consumer advocate about the Ding King. Go to a good paintless dent removal place and they should be able to fix that no problem should be less than $100. I have seen them fix bigger and worst dents than that. No single dent I have had fixed this way has been more than $85. They repaired severe hail damage on my wifes car in 1 day for less then $3K when autobody shops wanted 6-8 weeks and $8K. As a last resort have the hood fixed and repainted, a repainted hood will not hold up as well as the factory painted hood.
