Help Needed

Hello guys first time to this forum and I need ur help.
I am planning to buy 2000 323 ci (59500 miles) from private seller.
This car do not have any warranty as of now.
Please advice me if I really need any kind of warranty and if I do where I can get one.

Hi ! If I were you Iwould buy it ! This cars ( 2000 323 with steptronic tranny) have proven problem . Many oweners lost reverse gear after 60 000 plus miles. This cars are equiped with a GM 5 transmission (GM France) which are somehow faulty designed-BMW will not admit it! ZF transmission (Germany) instaled on E 46 models after 2000 are much better. My advise - buy warranty , transmission for this cars are very expensive ! you do not want to spent 5000 plus for a tranny.Best regards !

This car has manual transmission and hope I do not get that problem if I buy
I like to buy a extended warranty but I do not know where I can get one.
I talked local BMW dealer and they do not give extended warranty for non-dealer cars.
Is it ok to buy from internet sites like http://www.1sourceautowarranty.com/D...x?Referrer=214

With a manual you are OK ! (any auto transmission on this cars sucks !)
