I have a 2002 325i and I want to be able to play my MP3 player trough the Car stereo. My MP3 player is a Creative Vision M. My Goal is to use the Headphone jack on the MP3 player and plug it directly into the dash which is connected to the radio. example.. http://www.my330i.com/mod26.php ....but unforuntly the dealership told me that they only have a way to do it for an I-Pod and the same goes for everywhere else I look....my car is CD chager Ready but not Sattelite radio ready. And I really dont want to use a FM Xmitter. If I cant get it to work I may need to buy a after market deck.
Not sure what the price currently is back in the states, but I was quoted 320 Euro in Germany for the addon. You end up with a connection in your glovebox for the iPod, which will recharge it. All playlists you can use for it must start with BMW... and the steeringwheel controls just go between playlists (and of course control radio volume as usual). Still debating on if I should get that or just use the AUX hookups in the center column on my car.
if you get the i-pod adapter (not the AUX) you will not be able to get Sirius or the 6-disc cd changer...if that's ok with you go for it. I like my AUX connector, getting Sirius soon.
