I Need Help I Have A 323ci Cp 2000
My Wife Drives The Car With My 1 Yr Old Son
It Has 165k Miles On It
This Car Is A Lemon I Paid 14k For It
4 Yrs Ago Cashed Out
It Is A Lemon

First Thing My Top Breather Borke And I Screwed A Cap On It With Apoxy A Year Ago Drives Great Overall
Maintence It On Time Always
Drive It Once Every 2 Weeks
Anyways Recently My Water Pump Blew Up Sounded Like The Engine Was Gonna Blow .
So I Changed The Water Pump And The Serpentine Belt Right $1500 Down The Drain

One Month Later It Started Overheating Like Crazy Again Needle In The Red After Like 2 Min Of Starting The Car

I Diy It Myself And Found Out The Waterpump And Thermostate Was Bad So I Got A New One I Took Out The Thermostate Out And Left It Out .
I Changed The Clutch Fam Just To Be Safe And Put In Bmw Coolant From Niello
But After Running The Car For Like 3 Minutes With No Radiator Cap On , All My Water Starts Coming Out Of My Expansion Pack ,then Starts Shooting Out Like Crazy .
What Am I Missing If I Drive It Temperature Stays At Half .
What Could It Be My Only Thought Is Head Gasket ,but If It Was The Head Gasket It Should Of Done It Last Month When I Changed The Water Pump And Took Out The Thermostate
It Worked For A Month Drove It Long Distances .
Can It Be The Bleeder Screw On The Top Hose
Or The Thermostate Or What I Dont Know How Bmw Cooling Systems Work
I Am A Do It Myselfer Very Car Smart
But This Car Got Me Going Crazy Please Any Advice Will Help

Firstly, only fill the coolant when the engine is cold, 1st thing in the morning, the reason it all came out of the expansion tank is its a pressurised system.

So fill it up from cold, with the ignition on pos II, put the air con on at full HEAT but LOWEST fan setting, and bleed the system, then start it up bleed with the cap on and bleed, it may take a couple of days to get the level correct, but only check and fill when cold.

Had The Same Problem!!! I Know How Frustrating It Is Believe Me. Firstly Put A New Thermostat In It Is Not Adviseable To Leave It Out Cause It Aids In The Overheating. Make Sure All The Hose Clamps Are Tight And Make Sure You Have No Leaks. If It Leaks Anywhere It Will Cause Air Locks And Still Overheat. Also Try A Radiator Flush To Make Sure The Radiator Has No Blockage. It Took Me 3 Months To Sort Out My 325i With Overheating But I Can Say This It Was Worth It. The Heat Gauge No Does Not Go Over 1/4 Sometimes While Driving It Barely Picks Up.

i am currently waiting for my new hoses to come in from neillo this car cost me thousands every year to maintain but i love the car its my wifes and she loves it so happy wife happy life!
