Help!!!I was told I need to replace my engine on my 2003 325ci for $11,000!

I went into dealership because my car suddenly died out on the street, and was told it was a radiator pipe, and it would only cost around $250 for parts and labor, but i received a voicemail from the certified dealership saying my engine needed to be replaced for $11,000!!!! Please help me, am I being scammed?

How many miles on the car and how has it been serviced? But more than likely, it's a scam alright. Make them tell you why, and what parts are bad.

I know it may be hard,and you are pressed for time ,but no way,no how should it be that much no matter what.You really need to find a mechanic who can diagnose,fixproblem.First step,get it away from them crooks,they quoted me $380 to change out a battery,i did it in like 20 minutes,battery is bad enough from dealer $200.But still $180 for what amounted to 20 minutes of labor.Get it out of there.

what were the conditions when it died? was the engine smoking?

the funny thing is, they call you to say radiator pipe, and then turnaround to say you need a new engine??? thst is not accurate by any means.

You should follow witesharks advise and ask for a detailed explanation; as from experience, dealerships often turn out to be "UNRELIABLE".
