Help Deciding!!!

This is my first time using this website so i am not really sure how it works but I need a little help with deciding about a BMW. I am looking at buying a 2001 325i with 31,000 miles. Since you are all experts I would like to know about how much more in dollars is it to get repaired than any other american vehicle? I know that since it is foriegn, parts are a little more expensive but about how much more?

BMWs are BMWs. they are alot to fix, but they last longer than american cars. Never go to the dealer to try to fix ANYTHING, they will make you bend over and take it up the ass. Parts are about the same price if you know where to look, but labor is where the major costs are found.

My Suggestion: make friends with a mechanic that knows how to work on BMWs and you are golden
