It really depends on what your buget is, and what you want from your bimmer.
If you want a car that you are going to drive alone, or have a couple friends in at a time, get a coupe. If you want a car that you will almost always have 4 ppl in, then i would go with a sedan. Want great head room? Covertible.
As for which model, they are all superb!
The main difference between each of the 3 series models is engine size. For example a 323 has a 2.3 liter engine, and a 330 has a 3.0 liter engine. Also, i stands for sedan, ci stands for coupe, ic stands for covertible.
For reliability ratings, check consumer reports annual buying guide for free at your local library or for around $20 you can check consumerreports.org online database of auto reliability reports.
