Heated seats

I was out today and drove by a car lot and saw a 1999 328i. It fits everything I am looking for, except for the fact that it does not have heated seats, which have proven to be a wonder on my e36. Question: can these be added later on? how costly and or difficult will it be?

Edit: what do you think about these?

you can buy the heated lumbar cushion/back rest that plugs into your 12v lighter hole on eBay.
I've seen them for $39.00.

BTW don't you live in the south?

^^ I live in the South, but my body still reacts the same way to 12 F weather, regardless of geographical location. I am thinking if I get that e46, I will probably get something like what you mention, but I will design a simple control system so that I have switches on my dash, and to make them two- or three-stage like OEM.

^^ That stuff looks ghetto. I can't believe you, Delmarco, would even suggest I purchase those. Follow the link I included in the original post in this thread. That is what I would get if I cannot get a car with the factory heated seats. Inserts that have to be installed underneath the leather. Also, I don't want any floating wired-remote-control-type thingys. If I do get that car and do this install, I am thinking I will purchase the OEM switches and install those in place on the dash, even if I have to cut holes out.

Representin' with style, is it not, Del?
