3-Series (E46, E90)Chat relating to the BMW 3-Series from 1999 to Current. Models include: BMW 316i, BMW 318i, BMW 318Ci, BMW 320i, BMW 323i, BMW 325i, BMW 330i, BMW 328 Ci, BMW 328i, BMW 325i/xi, BMW 330Ci, BMW 320d, BMW 330d, BMW 335d.
I recently picked up a 2006 325xi, love the car, however I'm having a hard time finding replacement dvd video player headrests for it. These things seem to be a necessity for my 3 year old since even with his booster seat he can't see enough out the windows. There seems to be plenty for the x3, x5, and 5 series, but the 3 series for some reason seems lacking in this hardware.
Anyone ran into a good place to pick up such beasts for the 3 series?
If I wanted to velcro a DVD player around my seats I would have purchased a junker... unfortunately I believe a little more in the way a job is done, not to mention a DVD player that low on the seat will get kicked by a hyper active child into a non functional mess.
Sing songs, coloring books, tell stories? We do all that and more.
Nothing like coming new to a forum to get lectured on parenting...
The E90 does things alittle differently than the SAVs and the 5series you mentioned...The MOST bus (the entertainment bus) itself is quite an obstical for the aftermarket world
I'd recommend you go to a custom audio/video shop and have them fabricate something for you. The e90 moddifying world is in it's infancy. Sorry I could not be of more help.
I had seen mention of Invision headrests (http://www.invisionindustries.com/) fitting, however their website doesn't actually mention it as a supported configuration. For that one the full system is built into the headrest and power is just ran in through one of the headrest posts... looked like an easy enough system, but their prices are pretty out there (think it was like $1600), especially for not having confirmation it would work.
Anyway, if anyone sees mention of a working system would love to hear about it. Can you go a little more in depth on the MOST system... I opted for not getting the iDrive system on mine after it seemed lacking as a navigation system on the 5 series I rented before my order. BTW... my favorite feature on my new BMW has got to be the comfort access... well worth the $500.. is the MOST system just the overall backbone for the full system?
Next task is to get the A/C on my old 94 520i working
Thanks much, and good luck on the marriage 325isBaby

Was hoping to avoid it, just due to language issues (American currently working in Germany)... but I might end up having to do just that. At least finding parts is no issue here
The MOST bus is SO much more than just i-drive...it's the entire entertainment systems bus....the thing about it is it's a fiber-optic bus line that not many (if any) aftermarket shop has the knowledge/tools to work on...and the configuration on the E90 is different than that of the 5series
