Headlight Troubles?

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum as I just picked up my first BMW last week. It's a 2000 3231A and I'm really happy with it so far even though I've only had the chance to drive it in the snow.

My question.. driving home one evening this weekend I noticed the headlights were pulsing from bright to dim about every 1 second. As best I could tell the interior lights were doing the same. It seemed to carry on doing the same once I stopped and the car was at idle.

The car is ceertified so I'll get it into the dealer to check it out but has anyone come across this before or have any ideas what it might be?

Were you using the seat heaters? Some pulsing is normal when using the seat heaters as they draw a lot of current.

If you were not using the heater in the seats you should have it checked out as it could be your alternator not performing properly
