I just bought my BMW (1999 328i) and for some reason the head unit doesn't see cd changer. Previous owner said it's just because he used an ipod. I have removed the head unit but all wires are connected (the changer cable as well) and the changer has power. What is the problem?
The changer is Clarion CDC605 (I'm not sure if it's compatible with BMW).
May be I should reset somehow the head unit (I don't know how)....
Please advise!!!!
yeah, sometimes, that's just the way it goes. that's usually the first sign that the changer is on its way out. mine did the same thing, i wound up just replacing the stock deck w/ a stock CD unit. the sub i added to the trunk would have made the changer skip anyway.
