Hardwire A Valentine Rader Detector

Hello,
I have a 2004 325Ci. I'm thinking of getting my Valentine rader detector hardwired. It really works well. Anyone have any suggestions, reviews, or complaints?

Mount it as high as possible on the windshield (usually near the rearveiw). Pick up power from the sunroof and enjoy.

i just got my Valentine hardwired, if you wanna install yourself you have to find a proper 12-voly output from the ignition, dont bother with wiring it to the cigarette power (those stay on and i dont think they are 12-volt). Best thing to do is just buy the modular wire, and go to a shop (cartronics, sounds good stereo, tweeter, etc.) and they'll charge around twenty bucks for the labor, for a nice clean cut job, mine works great, saved me a bunch of times, i'll post some pics 2morrow.

I opted for the Escort S2 wireless detector. Runs on two double A batteries. So far I've driven about 3,000 miles in my 2004 325xi with this detector and it works very well.
