Hey all,
I ran AUTOCHECK for a car that I am about to buy, and it did not uncover Hail Damage. However, while looking at the actual BOOKS of the car, I saw that the hood and roof had had minor hail damage 2 years ago. The paint job LOOKED ok, but I have the following questions:
1 - How does the resale value of a car that HAD hail damage get affected? Is the negative effect as bad even if the damage was fixed in time?
2 - I'm not too good at spotting Hail Damage, but incase there still IS un-fixed damage on the car, how much will is cost (in general) to fix?
The car in question is a 2001 325i. Also, if anyone has a CARFAX account, can they run the following VIN: WBAAV33411FV04736
I have an AUTOCHECK account, and will be glad to run a VIN in return.
Sincerely,
