so after having my 325i for almost a year now, rather than go for only looks and style, i've caved and added a full exhaust to it.
went with the
UUC System U Twin Silencer exhaust, it included new cats and everything after the headers. stole it at $815 brand new and shipped. the site had the price listed wrong, but accepted my payment for it, they tried to say that they wanted the rest of the money and would give me a 5% discount because of the mistake, but i fought with it a little and saved myself the differance.
retail is $1090 + s&h.
the sound is absolutely amazing. a quiet little hum around 2500 that builds up through 3500 - 4500 to it's loudest roar. after about 5 grand it's a nearly stock sound, just louder. at idle it's got a soft and true purr. <333
as far as gains go. there is deffinatly a pickup in the top end performance. supposedly 12 - 14 hp and i'd believe it. being as this is the only performance mod i've done, i could tell a differance almost as soon as i drove it out of the shop where i had it installed.
i really can't think of what else to do to add some more hp to it, nothing but intake and software comes to mind. short of adding a turbo or super to it, which is out of price range for now.
