getting a e46

hi all im a new member here,
ile be a bmw head soon as im getting a e46 M3.i know abit about cars myself this is the spec

Is it manual or smg. The manuals have a rubbery gearshift so try for an smg box. Did it have the oil change at 1200 miles? Make sure it has a pukka history.

hi jim person choice means ile b getting the manual box dont like smg or any type of automatic,also i think there is a big price diff in them both?

Try the smg before parting with your hard earned. Over here the price diff is not big, sat nav and tv seem to be must have"s for most Brits. Trust me the smg is far superior and a lot more fun.

Have any of you people driven one! the smg is 110% the better car.In the UK all but the seriously insane would plump for the paddle shifter. Never dealt with an Irishman on an M3, only lesser 3 series, but most people want to drive em as they are supposed to be driven. Stewie my son be brave and visit your local dealer for a drive, then tell me the smg is shit.Dont let people put you off by trashing the early cars, the version in the cars your looking at is totally different.

well jim id like to thank you and all the other posts i have gotton so far.
but id b lost witout the third paddle.
change is a good thing but not when i depart from 17000gbp i want wat im use to.any one fault the manual cars?
also how much will i be paying for new tires and services?
any common faults by the weekend ile b in the north of ireland to get a closer look at the car b4 i part from the hard earned cash.ile have a mechanic to llook at it also myself own cars jeeps for 20years.

any one have stories going full throatle>?

any one have any websites about m3's?
