is there any way to ascertain the true mileage of a car with a digital readout?
rumour says dealers have a gizmo that can read the real mileage if the cars been clocked.

Mileage is stored redundantly in more than 1 module. if the modules have been tampered with there should be a manipulation dot in the instrument cluster (red dot near mileage readout) Also mileage is stored in the keys. if you take to the dealer they can see if theres a major difference in what the key reads and what the cluster says.
