I ordered my 325i with a 5 speed manual and should be getting it in about 6 weeks or so. I was just wondering what type of real world gas mileage I can expect out of it. This would be based on somewhat aggressive driving, i.e. not grandma driving. Thanks.

I've got the 1999 328i. Right now I'm AVERAGING 28 MGP. Including City and Highway Driving... though it is mainly highway. That's way better than my older Mercedes or my mom's newer Ford w/OD. In fact I'd bet that its got better gas mileage than some 4 cylinder engine vehicles.

Just refilled my tank today... Completed 350mi with a quarter tank left... averaged 27.0 mpg (all according to the on-board computer)... cost me $25.00 for premium gas (NJ prices). Not to Shabby.
