I have a 2002 330CI convertible with the built in transmitter for garage doors. I have never been able to configure the BMW transmitter to work with our older Stanley door opener. The old system is dying, so its time to purchase a new opener. Has anyone had success with other brands?

My Stanley door opener was bought around 92 and it works fine with the built in transmitter (2005 model).
