full throttle
when i depress the accelerator to full throtle there is something behind the pedal that stops me from going futher what is this thing

If the cars an auto then it's most likely the auto transmission kickdown button.

When you push the pedal hard with your foot, the autobox will go down a gear, for overtaking etc.

I agree, it's most likely the kick down switch. It may be stuck somehow.

I'm with everyone else if it is an auto it is more then likely the kickdown switch.
